WindEurope CPO presents ETIPWind at IRPWind General Assembly

WindEurope CPO Kristian Ruby

Stagnating research and innovation (R&I) funding in Europe and in many European member states requires strong ties amongst all wind energy stakeholders. WindEurope CPO Kristian Ruby thus stressed the importance of a fruitful collaboration between EERA and WindEurope in ETIPWind.

ETIPWind operates as the interface between WindEurope and EERA JP WIND following the common goal of creating a platform where academia and industry meet to formulate strategies together. Mr Ruby also presented the preliminary ETIPWind priorities as formulated by the ETIPWind Advisory Group.

These include:

  • Grid systems, infrastructure and integration;
  • Operation & maintenance;
  • Industrialisation; and
  • Offshore balance of plant.

Discussions on the priorities with representatives of the European Commission will continue on 3 June at the ETIPWind Workshop in Brussels.
